Main St.) Spell out addresses and capitalize when part of a formal street name without a number (The car wash is on South Main Street.) Lowercase and spell out when used alone or with more than one street name (Hawthorne and First streets). All similar words (Alley, Drive, Road, Terrace) are spelled out.
